THE CAREER PATH TO HAPPY PLACE
Raised by a single mom and having to be efficient with every dollar, Melanie learned quickly to be very creative and resourceful — especially with things like decorating her bedroom. Her love for creativity and design grew as she did.
After attending a top advertising and graphic design school in Atlanta, she embarked on a 20-year award-winning career. She designed packages and advertisements that "spoke" to consumers, using color to get emotional reactions, creativity to intrigue and photography to tell the story. She spent the past 10 years as a Senior Art Director at a top Minneapolis creative agency.
2007 brought a pivotal experience — Melanie was a guest on HGTV’s “Freestyle” show. This experience inspired Melanie to share with the others the joy she felt after her home was transformed. Her design focus expanded from graphic design to interior design. In 2012 she began using her design skills to transform the homes of family and friends.
In 2015 Melanie enrolled in the New York Art & Design Interior Design program. In 2016 she became a Member of RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) and became a Certified Home Stager & Redesigner through a leading certification company, HSR.
Today, Melanie uses her 20+ years of design skills and expertise, photoshoot art directing and compelling visual storytelling to transform the homes, and lives, of her many clients.
