RESA
Colorado members use talent and elbow grease to demonstrate the hidden value of
donated furnishings
RESA Colorado, the
state chapter of the Real Estate Stagers Association, is pleased to announce
that its 2013 Philanthropy Project successfully
helped its
designated charity, ARC of Colorado, to reach its goal of raising more than $25,000 through an auction at
its recent fundraiser.
A lively group of RESA
Colorado members including volunteer coordinator, Sara Garden, all spent
countless hours this summer re-finishing and re-purposing furniture and
accessories which had been donated to ARC.
Here some of the volunteers pose in front of several one-of-a-kind finished pieces that
were displayed and auctioned off at ARC’s Starfish & Dreams
fundraising event on September 20 at the Gold Crown Fieldhouse.
The crew met Saturday
mornings throughout the summer to donate their talent and enthusiasm to make
this 2013 RESA Philanthropy Project for ARC a success. “Besides, it was a
lot of fun and gave RESA members a chance to work together and get to know each
other better,” explained Nancy Hopper, RESA Colorado president.
ARC of Colorado is a
private not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) statewide volunteer organization dedicated
to support and advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental
disabilities and their families. The organization receives no government
funding and is supported by private donations from individuals and allocations
from ARC Thrift Stores of Colorado.
